This post is a little different in that I’m talking about Women in business and how they deal with their money blocks. But what is a money block? Let me explain…
I’ve been following Denise Duffield-Thomas over the last 6
As I’ve been following Denise and Nikki, I had discovered that I had some money blocks. (Basically the beliefs that get in the way of you making the money you want to. E.g. Money is dirty)
I heard Denise was going to be doing a conference in London, I KNEW I had to go. OK, but I’m running a part-time new foraging business, and the ticket cost £349 (because I missed the early-bird offer, darn), how was I going to afford it?
Denise in her book, Lucky-Bitch, A Guide for Exceptional Women to Create Outrageous Success talks about manifesting the ££ you want.
WHAT: Write down how much you want.
WHY: What’s it for. Imagine how that would feel when you receive the amount, (the actual physical feelings in your body). My WHY was so I could learn how to be better with money, to spend time with family, friends and people I care about. You can set little reminders of the ‘why’ around the place to remind you, e.g family photos.
THEN: make a brave step to show the universe you are serious about the intention that you have set. Basically go about your life, as if you have the money you want to manifest. I re-arranged my calendar to free up time for catching the train to London and back, sorted accommodation and then did the scary thing of asking my younger brother for some money.
I manifested the trip to see Denise when I had no spare money for it. You can manifest things too.
This relates to foraging because, the more ££ I have, the more I can fund things. My site, my business, buying equipment for foraging, I can up-skill by training with top foragers, I can pay for marketing. Give back to the community! You get the idea.
Her conference was powerful. Things I took away were;
- Mindset is everything. If you think positively and abundantly – Good things will happen. There is enough for everyone.
- I need to get a business bestie – Someone to support me with my business and vice versa.
- Don’t barter. Ever. People can pay for your services/
product because you’re worth it. - Everyone has a Bulls+%t excuse about why they can’t be successful and rich. Mine was around my accent. What’s yours?
- Having a
personalised mantra – “This is what a rich kiwi woman looks like”.
Money blocks aparently, are something that you have to work on your whole life, continuing to overcome and work through the limiting beliefs that hold you back. If you want to find out more about these then do me a favour and read at least one of Denise’s books/ Visit *Nikki Ramskill’s site. Women with money, will make the world a better place.
